La Banque Postale
Tri de carte

— Information architecture

In 2019, I worked with La Banque Postale to rethink and build the new institutional website.

Among all the projects of the roadmap, I created cards sorting workshops to improve the information architecture of the articles.

Mission
UX Design

2019

Methodology

Open card sorting

Card sorting is one of the methods used to build an information architecture. It makes it possible to categorize the content of a product according to a coherent structure that reflects the mental schema of users. During this test a selection of key articles were represented by a card. Participants were asked to group these cards into logical groupings following their intuition. These groupings and their naming were analyzed in order to define the headings and sub-headings as well as the most appropriate labels.

Some data

Participants : 8

Average age : 40

Number of card : 59

Goals

UX - tri de carte - Card sorting

Identify

Identify the categories established by the participants in order to apply them to the new system architecture.

Understand

Determine what each category means to users by analyzing what content is placed in each category.

Establish common points

Establish common points and differences between the participants in the creation of the categories to see if the mental representations of several groups of users are homogeneous or not.

Apply logic

Identify on which categorization rule users establish their sorting.

Workshop

1.Identify

2. Regroup

3.Name the group

4.Merge, delete, redefine

Restitution

Similarity Matrix

To organize the restitution, I realized a similarity matrix and highlighted, some cards which were more difficult to categorize.
